Vision/ Mission Statement
We, the faculty and staff of The Baltimore Talent Development High School, believe that education is a partnership between the school, students, parents, and community. All of these stakeholders must be willing participants in a commitment to educational excellence.
We believe that the purpose of a secondary education is to develop and nurture in each generation the knowledge, skills, and ideals essential for a foundation of self-assurance, independence of thought and self-discipline that produce a conf ident life-long learner. This belief ensures the advancement of society in the American democratic process.
We believe that the progress of our nation is predicated upon the results of intellectual and ethical development.
While scientif ic and technological advancement provide the means for competitiveness in the global market, moral and ethical values provide the foundation of responsible citizenship that allows us to appreciate diversity while recognizing our common aspirations.
We believe that as a citywide, competitive, college preparatory, secondary school, The Baltimore Talent Development High School serves the interests of the community by equipping students for leadership roles in a technological society. We prepare students for further studies in the fields of Arts and Communications or Science and Technology while simultaneously providing a rigorous academic program.

City-wide program, we are privileged to become part of history in the Harlem
Park Community.
As the first class of students accepted to The Baltimore Talent Development
High School, you will set the prece-
dence not only as the Class of 2008 but as a legacy for the future classes
that will follow.
I am privileged to be your Principal, and I look forward to taking you on
this journey to the stars. Keeping the rich
tradition of our partner, Johns Hopkins University, again I would like to
welcome you. Remember, you are all "stars"
out to conquer the impossible...no wish is out of reach, hope is endless,
and all dreams are attainable. On behalf of the
staff, we look forward to providing you with an excellent high school education
that will give you a solid foundation.
